The around the world expedition of the “Airplane Factory”.. with AvMap Johannesburg, 2009-06-25
Mike and James, proud owners of The Airplane Factory, intend to fly the production prototype Sling from Johannesburg, South Africa, to the Oshkosh Airventure Airshow, Wisconsin USA, in July this year. They will return to Johannesburg by continuing their journey west, circumnavigating the globe en route. The journey, including 6 days in Oshkosh, is planned to take place over approximately one calendar month, commencing on 15 July and returning on 17 August 2009. To face the long trip they have chosen the AvMap’s Geopilot II Plus aeronautical navigator.
AvMap, the only Italian player known in the international satellite navigation, has landed in Netherland, closing a deal with the Dutch Citroën branch.
